Frequently Asked Questions

How do I fill the Cold Plunge Tub?
Ensure the Plugs and Caps are secured on the Outlet and Inlet, or confirm that Hoses are tightly connected to the tub and Chiller. Close the Drain or attach the Drain Cap. Place a garden hose in the tub and fill it to 2/3–3/4 full. If a Chiller is connected, fill until the Water Inlet on the tub wall is submerged.

How do I drain the Cold Plunge Tub?
Unscrew the Drain Cap to allow water to flow out. To connect a garden hose, request a Drain Adapter from DCT. For first-generation models, press the “Pop-up Plug” to release the water.

How do I change the Filter on the Chiller?
Close the Inlet and Outlet with the Plugs provided. Use the Filter Wrench to turn the Filter Cup counterclockwise and remove it. Replace the old Filter with a new one, then reattach the Filter Cup securely. Some water spillage is normal.

How often does the water need to be replaced?
Replace water weekly for regular use or more often for heavy use. For lighter use and proper maintenance, replacement every 2–4 weeks may suffice. Replace water if it becomes cloudy or discolored.

Can I use chemicals to treat the water?
Yes, but use sparingly. Chlorine can sanitize water, but monitor pH, alkalinity, and hardness carefully. Avoid bromine, as it is corrosive to the tub and Chiller materials.

How long are the Hoses?
The system includes two 8-ft hoses.

What size are the Cold Plunge and Chiller Fittings?
Barrel and Cuboid Tubs use ½” NPT Fittings. Inflatable Tubs use 1” ID Fittings and include custom Adapters.

Can I use longer Hoses with my Cold Plunge system?
Yes, but longer Hoses may reduce cooling efficiency due to increased friction and heat absorption. Longer Hoses will also produce more condensation to manage.

Can I install the Chiller in a utility closet or above the Cold Plunge Tub?
The Chiller requires at least 36 inches of ventilation clearance and must remain level with the tub. Placing it above or below the tub can strain the pump, and condensation must be managed to prevent moisture issues.

What are the electrical requirements for the Chiller?
All Chillers run on a standard 120V/15AMP outlet. Use a GFCI outlet and a dedicated circuit for safety.

Can the Cold Plunge system be installed outdoors?
Yes, but the Chiller is not weatherproof. Protect it from direct sunlight and excessive water exposure. Barrel Tubs may benefit from staining to improve durability.

How long is the Warranty period?
All products come with a 1-year limited warranty starting from the purchase date.

How often does the Filter need to be replaced?
Replace filters every 1–3 weeks depending on use. Indicators for replacement include discoloration, reduced flow rate, or increased noise from the Chiller.

What does the Ozone feature do?
The Ozonator kills bacteria and activates every 15 minutes unless turned off. Basic and Premier models allow interval adjustments; the Standard model has on/off functionality only.

How loud is the Chiller?
The Chiller operates at 60–65 dB, with slightly louder noise when the Ozone feature is active.

Can I use the Cold Plunge in the winter?
The Chiller operates in temperatures between 34°F–113°F. It is not rated for sub-freezing conditions, and damage caused by freezing is not covered under warranty.
